Sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde(SNF) is a condensed polymer product. It is mainly used as powerful water reducing agent in concrete and also known as superplasticizer, also named Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde Condensate, NSF, SNF, PNS, FDN, etc. It produces concrete with exceptionally workable characteristic referred to as high slump. It helps to keep the minimum water to cement ratio without compromising the degree of workability. It is also a very good dispersing agent.
Â
Â
Sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde(SNF) is the first choice for admixture for high-strength concrete, commercial concrete, earthquake-proof concrete, self-leveling grouting materials, and other products.
It can be applied to cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete and precast parts, with good adaptability to common cement, and can be widely used in road, bridge, tunnel, industrial and civil constructions, steam curing and natural curing precast parts.
Â
Â
Sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde(SNF) possesses the features of no retarding, no air-introducing, high water-reducing and strength enhancing. It has no chloride, low alkali content, low sulphonate, and high purity. It can be widely used in different concretes with less dosage and easy to use.
Â
It can be applied to make flowing, strong or steam-curing concrete. The minimum working temperature can be as low as 0℃degrees. In steam curing, concrete with superplasticizer has to be strong enough before heating. The steam curing specification has to be pre-tested. It is particularly used as base material for compound admixtures.

0.5 – 1.5% by weight of cement. Exact dosage rates are dependent on the type of effect sought, quality of cement and aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes.
